My Guitar Hero Museum

Starting with my favorite controller ever - the Xplorer!!!

One of the most revered controllers by Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Clone Hero fans alike, the Xplorer controller originally released with Guitar Hero 2. Despite debuting so early in the series - damn near 20 years later - it's held up better than any other guitar controller ever manufactured. Broken strum bars, buttons, and whammy bars are prevelant in most guitars anymore, but many Xplorers to this day are still going strong. The Xplorer pictured has survived 10 years of excessive use and rake strumming from me, not to mention whatever the previous owner subjected it to before giving it up. Some people prefer the Les Paul models - either for their wireless capability or their slick all black look. But I much prefer the Xplorer's zig-zag lightning body and it's cable which lets you easily use it for Clone Hero (plus no batteries needed!)

The Les Paul!

The Les Paul controller was introduced alongside maybe my favorite game ever - Guitar Hero 3! This model was the first guitar produced that has a detachable neck! This makes it very convenient for repairs and replacements. The guitar pictured is actually a combination of my two childhood les paul controllers, as only one half of each worked anymore. The Les Paul is one of the most commonly used guitars for clone hero fans. It may not be quite as long lasting as the Xplorer but it still find it to be very reliable.

World Tour Guitar!

The controller released with Guitar Hero World Tour is not my favorite guitar in the world, but I appreciate some of it's unique features.
